Home Canning Basics: You’re My Jam

Tell a special someone “you’re my jam!” with homemade jams and jellies this Valentine’s Day! Learn how to can and preserve giftable jams and jellies with a Valentine’s twist. This class will cover the kinds of products that can be canned and preserved at home, canning do’s and dont’s, and the equipment you’ll need to get started. We’ll get hands-on with basic food preservation techniques and will learn how to make delicious jams and jellies with Valentine’s ingredients like chocolate, roses, and wine. You’ll leave with jars of your creations and the skills to start doing your own canning at home safely and confidently.

This workshop is for adults 18 +. Class length estimate is 3.5 hours.
