Home Canning Basics at CSCA: Homemade Pickles

Learn how to transform vegetables into tangy, crispy pickles and how to can them to last year-round! This class will cover the kinds of products that can be canned and preserved at home, canning do’s and don’ts, and the equipment you’ll need to get started. We’ll get hands-on with basic food preservation techniques and will learn how to make quick refrigerator pickles and canned vinegar pickles. You’ll leave with jars of your creations and the skills to start doing your own canning at home safely and confidently.
This hands-on workshop is for adults 18+. Class length estimate is 4 hours.
