Home Canning Basics at CSCA: Late Summer Tomatoes

Learn how to make the most of your summer garden tomatoes by canning them to last year-round! This class will cover the kinds of products that can be canned and preserved at home, canning do’s and don’ts, and the equipment you’ll need to get started. We’ll get hands-on with basic food preservation techniques and will learn how to make delicious tomato sauces, salsas, and condiments to enjoy all year long. You’ll leave with jars of your creations and the skills to start doing your own canning at home safely and confidently.

This hands-on workshop is for adults 18+. Class length estimate is 4 hours.
